Douglas Firearms Training is dedicated to the safe instruction of basic firearms ownership, marksmanship and Ohio’s concealed handgun certification.
About our classes
Class cost $150
The state of Ohio requires 6 hours of classroom time where we cover the fundamentals of marksmanship and Ohio’s guidelines for the basics of pistol training.
After the classroom, 2 hours of range time are required by law. On the range the students will show proficiency with their handguns in loading, unloading, and the fundamentals of shooting.

How much does a class cost?
All concealed carry classes are $150.00. A $50 deposit is required to register for a class, and the last $100 in full is required on the day of the class.
How long is a class?
Our concealed carry classes are 8 hours long.
Advanced class will be roughly 5
Do I need to bring anything to a class?
1. Bring a handgun with 50 rounds.
2. Bring ear and eye protection if you have them. If not, we can provide some upon request.
3. Bring a good attitude!
Do I need to own a gun?
Yes, if you have one. If not, we have pistols you can rent for a small cost, but you must bring your own ammunition. Let us know if you need to use one of our guns so we can make sure you pick up the correct ammunition.
What if I’m not 21 years old?
Not a problem. The certificate is good for 3 years, so you can take the class when you are 18 and wait until you are 21 to get the license.

CCW classes will be held at various locations, closer to the date of the class we will send out final location and time through text message
Clases will also be held at Bridgeport Equipment Gallipolis Ohio
We also offer private classes for people who are more comfortable with their friends and family.
A $50 deposit is required to hold your spot for a class.

Our History
My name is Michael Douglas. I live near Albany, Ohio with my wife, Amanda.
Hunting and shooting guns have always been a part of my life. In 2017 I received my certification to teach concealed carry classes. From there, I started Douglas Firearms Training.
My goal is to certify and educate as many people as possible so they can empower themselves. I strive to grow as a business so I can give back to the community that built me.
